HAND POKE TATTOOS
Made by just my hand and a needle, hand poke is more gentle. More timely to make, yes, but with less trauma to the skin, they heal faster. This primal technique feels more intimate and is more mindful of the environment. As my career continues I will be prioritizing this way of making tattoos. It’s more gentle on the environment and my body. Pricing is project-based for hand made tattoos.

MACHINE TATTOOS
Most of the recent work you see here and on my IG are machine made tattoos. Using exclusively coil machines, I tattoo relatively fast and charge hourly. My style is reminiscent of American traditional, with the fine line details of Neotraditional, earth tone color palettes and bohemian aesthetic. Some of my favorite subjects are ocean animals, snakes, bendy birds, and micro-tattooed ladies.
OLD SOL ✺ NEW TRICKS
When I created OSNT I knew I wanted to share my art in many ways. It’s a brand that embodies the idea of respecting and admiring traditions, while being open minded to advancements and experimentation. I have been focused on establishing the aesthetic of Old Sol New Tricks through my tattooing. I’m excited to now start sharing my art in other ways, like wearable merch and other decorative or functional items.

Depending where in the world we meet, I introduce myself differently. Because I jump so often between Méxican Spanish and American English, I have begun to feel most fluent in Spanglish.
